First day.. Primeiro Dia..
Hey, Hey!! No mar, (19:51 – Brasil / 23:51 Aqui!)
Acabo de voltar do meu primeiro dia de “trabalho” Oh meu Deus.. taaaannnta coisa pra aprender!! Sou a única novata aqui, então não sei de muita coisa, o que é ruim.. mas td mundo tem me ajudado bastante..
Bom.. cheguei aqui por volta de 8:30 da manhã e fomos direto o RH, lá já comecei levando esporro de um Inglês, que já me contaram, adora passar medo nas pessoas.. e sim ele passou medo em mim, só pq eu nao trouxe um certificado que precisava.. Ele gritava: “Você não deveria ter vindo se não tinha os documentos!!”, ateh q minha supervisora chegou e disse: “é só isso q falta? Ela vem comigo e faz online, e estará tudo pronto em menos de 1 hora” e assim se fez. Liguei em casa as 5 e poko da manha para pedir o numero de um cartão de credito para pagar o bendito curso.. fiz o curso online.. passei e pronto..
Depois disso fui pegar meu uniforme, tds as calças enormes!! E já deixe eles no alfaiate para conserto. Os novos do navio e os que vieram de 2 navios que são bem diferentes do GEM, foram dar uma volta com o Chefe de segurança, o mesmo que gritou comigo de manha.. mas dessa vez ele tava legal rss...Por volta de 6 e pouco tomei um banho, fui jantar e trabalho! Muita coisa pra aprender, mesmo.. td mundo já tem o jeito de falar coma s crianças, já sabem o q deve ser feito e tals.. fiquei mais observando.. mas no final estava ateh brincando de twister com as crianças... paramos as 23:00 e fomos a um restaurante de passageiros comer.. agora meia noite, to na minha cabine... o pessoal foi pro bar, me chamaram, mas ainda não estou muito enturmada então resolvi ficar.
O que posso dizer é que esse navio é gigante mesmo.. minha cabine é pra 4 pessoas, mas por enquanto estamos só em duas, espero q sempre seja assim, pq se entrarem mais duas aqui, não sei como faremos, pois eh bem pequeno o espaço.
Não me senti mal em momento algum, tanto q o navio já estava em alto mar e eu nem reparei, só fui ver quase uma hora depois pq no restaurante tinha janela, pq senão, nem ia reparar q estávamos em alto mar! O navio é enorme! Muito grande mesmo.. já sei me acahr indo pro alfaiate/ lavanderia, pro RH, pro restaurante de staff e sala de meetings... mas na minha primeira tentativa de ir trabalhar sozinha, já me perdi..quem sabe amanhã né? Vou dormir.. beijinhos..

So, I just got back from my first day at “Work”.. OMG, it’s sooooo much things to learn!! I am the only new hire on my department, so I am the only one who doesn’t know a thing, which is bad.. but everybody is helping me a lot..
Well, I got here around 8:30am and went straight to Personel department, and there I started getting the yelling.. the Safety manager yelled at me because one of my certificate were missing, and he wouldn’t accept the copy. He was trying to scare me saying: “You shouldn’t have got on the ship if you don’t have your paperwork” until my supervisor got there and said: “She will come with me and do it online.. and it will be ok” and that’s what I’done… called home at around 5am in Brazil, to get a credits card number to get the course done… did it, passed it, and everything is fine now.
After that I went to get my uniforms, all the pants were huge, and I left at the tailor’s to get it fixed. All the new hires and some people that come from a ship with a different configuration from the GEM made a tour with the safety manager, yes the guy who yelled at me.. but he was nice this time. Around 6pm took a shower, had dinner and off to work.!! It is really a lot o things to learn, everybody had other contracts, so they know how to talk with the kids, what to do and everything else, it just watched it pretty much, but by the end of the night I was playing twister with some kids.. we stopped at 11pm and went to a guest’s restaurants to eat something.. everybody I know went to the crew bar, but I decided to stay in, I am not really comfortable yet, everybody is being really nice to me, but I already stalk them all day long, thought I should give them a rest tonight.
About the ship I can say that it is HUGE!!! Seriously… my cabin is for 4 person, but for now we are just 2 living here in this tiny area, I don’t know how we would do with 2 more people here.
About Seasickness.. I didn’t have at all, I haven’t even noticed that we were moving, just noticed when I went upstairs to get dinner and saw the sea moving!! Really.. this thing is huge… I can already find my way to the tailor/linen, to HR, staff mess (our restaurant) and lectures office..but on my first try to get to the kids center, guess what? I got lost ahahahah maybe tomorrow I’ll get it. Iam going to bed now.. Kisses.

Os primeiros dias sempre são mais complicaods e o chefe da segurança em geral é sempre marrento.
